Ian Hamilton

Born in 1967, Stevenage-born Ian Hamilton began his football career with Southampton before moving to Cambridge in March 1988. Hamilton joined the Baggies in 1992, after 4 years with Scunthorpe, for a transfer fee of £160K. During his time at the Hawthorns, Hamilton made 282 appearances, scoring 28 goals. During the 92/93 season, Albion climbed the table, finishing the season in 4th position and successfully navigating the playoffs to achieve promotion from Division Two. Hamilton played an integral part in the semi finals, scoring against Swansea in Albions 2-0 win over The Swans. In 1998, Hamilton left the Baggies for Sheffield Utd for a transfer fee of £325K.
